Las Vegas Photos Have Arrived
It's been a busy week. Still working hard on my Solaris project at work. I've finally managed to cull out some (hopefully) interesting shots from my digital hoard. Share and enjoy (note the human-readable license terms. They're liberal! Really!). These files are little large- sorry. Since there were many of them I used ImageMagick to automate their processing, so the results are not as finely tuned.
- Casinos etc.
- Our group at the airport
- Bally's Hotel, seen from a block away from The Strip.
- The slot machines in Bally's Hotel. I only saw one sign admonishing me not to take photos inside, and it was in a back corner, but no one ever gave me any grief about it. Basically all of the slot areas I saw in each hotel looked pretty much the same.
- Julius Caesar and me inside Caesar's Palace.
- Inside the Forum Shops inside Caesar's Palace.
- Fremont St., in Downtown Las Vegas. Note that the roof overhead is actually a giant LED screen.
- The gondola ride inside the Venetian Hotel.
- A plaza (piazza?) near the gondola ride.
- A venetian hallway, inside the Venetian Hotel, naturally.
- Part of the facade of the Venetian. Look familiar anyone?
- The facade of the Mirage hotel
- Some extra-large slots inside the Paris Hotel
- Fujiwara-san tries his luck at video poker
- Our youngest tour member. They don't particularly enforce those gambling age limits either. Not at all to my eyes, actually.
- "Prostitution is Illegal in Clark County and Las Vegas"
- Outside of Las Vegas (We rented a car)
- Some scenic cliffs outside of Las Vegas.
- The Hoover Dam. Part of it, anyway. It was large.
- Stange flora of the desert
- Experiencing American Food
- ...and Real American Cars. I saw no fewer than 4 CJs during the three days I was there, including a Scrambler! Plus this rather beat-up Willy's Wagon.
- Zion National Park. Gorgeous place. My photos don't do it justice.
